When Arjun Kapoor recently stated that the industry must band together to oppose such boycott tendencies because Bollywood has tolerated so much, netizens took to the internet to express their outrage. Arjun Kapoor has been labelled a failure and a disgruntled actor by Madhya Pradesh’s Home Minister, Narottam Mishra, who was alarmed by his statement
“I don’t think it’s good if an unsuccessful and frustrated performer threatens the audience. I believe he should concentrate on his acting rather than intimidating the audience. I want to know if he or any of his supporters of the Tukde Tukde (gang) would have the guts to create movies about any other faith. Or express any contempt toward their religions or disparage their deities? Only with us Sanaatanis do they do this. They then threaten us after that. Arjun, hold up, the audience is now highly knowledgeable, Narottam Mishra observed during a media conference.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun stated: “I believe that our prolonged period of silence was a mistake. Our modesty was seen as a sign of weakness. We have always believed that everything is irrelevant and that the product should speak for itself.” He also emphasised the necessity for the film industry to unite and address the problem at its source.
When discussing how social media’s cancel culture is hurting Bollywood, Arjun Kapoor added, “We were a little too tolerant. People are accustomed to it now.” Arjun, who most recently appeared in Ek Villain Returns, is receiving vicious online trolling as a result of his remarks regarding the boycott trend.
Bollywood appears to have been impacted by the recent boycott movement. The film’s lead actor’s 2015 comment on rising intolerance sparked a massive backlash against Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, and trolls also targeted Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan after discovering the writer Kanika Dhillon’s tweets. Due to the fact that Hrithik Roshan, who plays the lead role in the movie, backed Laal Singh Chaddha, the boycott of Vikram Vedha became popular on social media.
