After six years of marriage, rapper Raftaar, real name Dilin Nair, has filed for divorce from his wife Komal Vohra. The couple, who married in December 2016, had reportedly been living apart for some time.
According to a source close to the couple, Raftaar and Komal filed for divorce in 2020. “Everything was delayed due to the pandemic,” said the source. On October 6, they will sign the divorce papers.”
Raftaar and Komal Vohra met through a mutual friend and dated for five years before marrying in 2016. Raftaar had posted a photo of his wedding on Twitter. “MARRIED TO MY SOUL MATE,” the rapper captioned the photo.
Raftaar praised Komal in an interview for being extremely supportive of him and his profession. However, the couple has unfollowed each other on social media and deleted their wedding photos.
Raftaar’s most recent work was the title track of Nushratt Bharucha’s Janhit Mein Jaari. For a few years, he was also a gang leader on the MTV reality show Roadies.
