Akshay Kumar and Nora Fatehi collaborated on a small dance video for the song Kudiyee Ni Teri Vibe from Selfiee, his upcoming film. He shared the promotional video on Instagram on Friday, surprising fans with their chemistry. Many even jokedly tagged Akshay’s wife, author Twinkle Khanna, in the comments. Akshay and Nora are seen dancing together in the video under a passage of an old bridge. While Nora is dressed glam in a neon green gown, Akshay is dressed swag in an all-black baggy look with a bucket hat. As Akshay pretends to woo Nora, the two match steps on the song.
Akshay captioned the video, “Here’s how @norafatehi can turn any vibe into scorching fire.” “How do you feel about #KudiyeeNiTeri?” In response to the video, a fan commented, “Tag kro twinkle mem ko (Someone tag Twinkle mam).” “Nora Fatehi and Akshay Kumar are the best duo,” said another. Someone else added, “@twinklerkhanna Dekho mam Kudiye ne teri vibe (Twinkle Khanna, take a look at his vibe).”
Tanishk Bagchi recreated Kudiyee Ni Teri Vibe for Selfiee. The PropheC and Zahrah Khan performed the original song. Tanishk has also revised the song’s lyrics.
Selfiee is the Hindi remake of Driving License, a Malayalam film starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Selfiee is directed by Raj Mehta of Good News fame and stars Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharuccha, and Diana Penty in the lead roles. It will be released in theatres on February 24.
Mrunal Thakur, who appears in the song Kudiyee Ni Teri Vibe, also makes a special cameo appearance in the film. She plays an actress in the film, paired opposite Akshay Kumar’s character. When asked about the song, Mrunal stated, “I had a great time filming the song. I’d never done anything like this before, and the vibe on set was as upbeat as the song itself. It was a unique experience to shoot for the song for a few days. I’m looking forward to seeing how the audience reacts to the song.”
