Many Hollywood celebrities, including Amber Heard, deleted their Twitter accounts after Elon Musk acquired Twitter and took over as CEO after a $44 billion takeover. She recently lost a defamation trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp. After that, she was supposed to pay Johnny $10.35 million.
On Twitter, an account called ‘That Umbrella Guy’ shared a screenshot of Amber’s Twitter account with the caption, “This account doesn’t exist.” “Amber Heard has deleted her Twitter,” the caption read. One person responded to this information by writing, “So glad she is taking care of herself.” “Ex-boyfriend Elon told her to delete it,” said the second commenter. “She can’t afford the monthly fee to keep her checkmark now,” a third person wrote. Many people speculated on why she deleted her Twitter handle. It is still unknown why she left Twitter.

Johnny previously lost a libel case in the UK after suing a publication for calling him a “wife-beater.” The allegations were found to be substantially true by the court.
Amber began dating Elon Musk after her divorce from Johnny and made headlines in 2016. They both kept their relationship under wraps. After a year of dating, they divorced in 2017. The couple reconnected in 2018, but ended their relationship after a few months.
Johnny had sued Amber in Virginia for $50 million, alleging that she defamed him when she referred to herself in an opinion piece as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” Amber counter-sued for $100 million, claiming he slandered her name when his lawyer dismissed her allegations as a “prank.”
Recently, many Hollywood celebrities such as Sara Bareilles, Ken Olin, Toni Braxton among have left Twitter.
