As his upcoming movie “Jug Jugg Jeeyo” is about two couples getting a divorce, actor Anil Kapoor talks about divorce and the shame that comes with it in our society. The movie’s trailer came out on Sunday, and Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Neetu, who are all in it, were there to see it.
Anil said this when asked what he thought about the rising number of divorces in our society: “Everyone should be happy in their own space, in my opinion. I’m not against divorce, because I think that if two people aren’t happy together, they should split up in a friendly way. Then one can also have a joyful marriage.”
He added: “But if someone wants to stay single forever, that shouldn’t be judged either, because mental peace is important in the world we live in. Everyone, boy or girl, should be able to do what they want, and we should let them. I’ve believed in it ever since I could think for myself.”
The movie “Jug Jugg Jeeyo” is being shown in theatres on June 24. It was made by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios and was directed by Raj Mehta.
