On Sunday, Ayushmann Khurrana posted a photo of himself posing in front of Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat. While posting the photo on Instagram, he described himself as an SRK fan.
Ayushmann Khurrana was in Bandra on Sunday and posted a photo of himself in front of the area’s most popular attraction, Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat. The actor describes himself as a fan of the star and claims to have made a wish while passing by the location. Ayushmann can be seen looking at Mannat through the sunroof of his car in the photo, while several onlookers capture the moment on their cellphones.
Ayushmann captioned his Instagram photo, “Mannat se guzar raha tha.” Toh mannat maang li ek (was passing by Mannat, so I made a wish). “Action Hero, December 2nd…” Along with the picture, he added the song Baazigar O Baazigar from Shah Rukh’s film Baazigar, as well as the hashtag ‘SRKian.’
Fans of both Ayushmann and Shah Rukh Khan reacted positively to the post. Within a few hours, it had over 6 lakh “likes.” Mannat was described as a “favourite place in Mumbai” by one fan. “This song and especially these lines!!!” wrote actor Maniesh Paul. “May God grant all your mannats (wishes)…” wrote singer Zahrah S Khan.
“Mannat sirf ek ghar nahi hai logo ke liye mandir hai (Mannat is not just a house, it is a temple for people),” a fan commented on the post. “Once an SRKian, always an SRKian (SRK fan),” wrote another. “I’m moving to Mumbai next year to start my lyrics writing career, Mannat will be the first place I’ll visit,” another user wrote.
“Hats off to Ayushman for this gesture,” said another. A fan also expressed his desire to see the two actors in a film, writing, “Manifesting SRK and AK (Ayushmann Khurrana) together on-screen.”
Ayushmann is currently promoting his first action film, An Action Hero. The film, directed by Anirudh Iyer, also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. On December 2, it will be released in theatres.
