Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 by Kartik Aaryan has been breaking box office records since its release. The Anees Bazmee-directed film has now earned a total of Rs 230.75 crore at the global box office. Kartik tweeted, “Gratitude. #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 still running at theatres near you and if far also, please go #6thWeek.”
Fans congratulated the actor as soon as he shared the news. Following the success of the film, Kartik denied rumours that he was raising his fees to Rs 35-40 crore. He tweeted, “Promotion hua hai life mein, increment nahi” (I have been promoted in life, but have yet to receive my raise.)
Kartik Aaryan debuted his new McLaren GT last week. Bhushan Kumar, the producer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, gave him the car. Kartik is reuniting with Bhushan for his upcoming film Shehzada, a Hindi remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurrammulo. Kartik will appear in the film alongside his Lukka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon.
The spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Kartik plays Ruhaan aka Rooh Baba in the second instalment, who con people by pretending to converse with ghosts. Kiara Advani also appears in the film as Reet, who invites Ruhaan to her haunted house in Rajasthan. Tabu takes on the roles of Anjulika and Manjulika.
