Tina Datta, a TV actor, has been evicted from the ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 16. This week, Shiv Thakare, Shalin Bhanot, and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary were also nominated for eviction. Tina received the fewest votes from the audience and was thus evicted from the Bigg Boss house.
Tina, best known for her role as Ichcha in the popular TV show Uttaran, befriended Bigg Boss 16 contestant Abdu Rozik and later formed an alliance with Shalin Bhanot. Speaking about her eviction, Tina said in a press statement, “I had my inhibitions about signing up for Bigg Boss 16 because surviving in this house can be very challenging. “I’m glad to see my family and friends.”
“No other experience would have taught me as many life lessons as the show has,” she added. She also thanked “everyone who has worked hard to put this incredible show together”. Tina also expressed her support for Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, saying, “Now that I’m out of the house, I feel like I can take on anything.”
Tina also revealed in an interview with ETimes that she was traumatised during her time in the Bigg Boss 16 house. She said it was amazing to realise (after stepping out of the Bigg Boss house) that she was trending online, but she was not “allowed to play the game properly” as she was “being backlashed inside the house on various occasions”. She went on to say that while show host Salman Khan tried his best to help her understand things and was supportive, he may not have watched the entire show.
She went on to say, “The Shalin Bhanot controversy really got to me, and I was like, can I just play my own game? When I recently became friends with Priyanka, Farah Khan ma’am informed me that we are both the most mean and despised girls on the show by the viewers. Inside the Bigg Boss house, I was in a state of shock “she claims.
