Celina Jaitly has revealed that she was forced to leave Emraan Hashmi’s 2006 film Aksar because she was working on another project with the same actor.
Celina Jaitly has confirmed that she was forced to leave Emraan Hashmi’s 2006 film Aksar by the producers because she had signed another film with him at the same time. Celina was then replaced in Aksar by Udita Goswami. The actress expressed her dissatisfaction with how the situation was handled.
On Saturday, a film journalist shared a photo of Tara Sharma and Celina on the set of Aksar. He stated that they were still unable to make the cut because Celina was forced to leave the film. Celina, dressed in a red top, and Tara, dressed in blue, are seen looking into a shattered mirror with a worried expression on their faces.
Yes, I was forced to leave #aksar by its producers as they were not happy about the fact that I was doing another film #jawanidiwani simultaneously with same costar @emraanhashmi I was very disappointed as the way the situation was handled by the producers was very disheartening. https://t.co/dMwhcHKFbs

“Very unprofessional that they handled it that way,” a Twitter user commented on her post. However, it is their mistake to exclude YOU.” “Would have loved to see you in Aksar,” wrote another. “Was the same costar allowed to continue?” another inquired. But you weren’t.” “That’s a terrible thing to do,” said another. You would have lost a lot of momentum in your career. Not to mention the wasted time. It’s heartbreaking to see hard work punished.”
Emraan Hashmi, Udita Goswami, Dino Morea, and Tara Sharma starred in Aksar. The film, directed by Anant Mahadevan, also featured the hit song Jhalak Dikhlaja, sung by Himesh Reshammiya.
Celina co-starred in Jawani Diwani: A Youthful Joyride with Emraan Hashmi the same year. Maneesh Sharma directed the film, which also starred Tiku Talsania, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Sherlyn Chopra.
Celina currently resides in Austria with her husband, hotelier Peter Haag, and their three sons. “I had taken a purposeful break from cinema for reasons best known to me and this had nothing to do with the fact that I got married,” she told Hindustan Times in an interview in 2020.
I was just tired and exhausted of how difficult it was for an outsider to keep looking for roles that celebrated the actor within. Having to constantly prove myself, I got tired of trying to please everyone and decided to take a break, do some other things in life, recharge batteries, and then return whenever I’m ready.
In response to his post, the actress wrote, “Yes, I was forced to leave #aksar by its producers because they were unhappy that I was doing another film #jawanidiwani concurrently with same costar @emraanhashmi.” She went on to say that she was very disappointed with the way the producers handled the situation.
Celina Jaitly wants to “return to cinema,” but she’s not getting any good offers: ‘I’m hoping to find scripts that will do me justice.’
Celina Jaitly was most recently seen in Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s 2020 short film Season’s Greetings. The actor received praise for her performance in the Zee5 film, which also starred Lillette Dubey. Celina, who turned 24 on November 24, expressed a desire to return to Bollywood in a new interview.
Celina, who now lives in Austria with her husband Peter Haag and their children, said she felt encouraged to ‘return to cinema’ after the success of Seasons Greetings. Last year, Celine Jaitly was honoured with her first Filmfare Award at the Filmfare (Middle East) Star Achievers Awards Night in Dubai; she had won an award for the ‘best performance in a short film’.

“The success of my short film Seasons Greetings even amidst the Covid-19 lockdown has encouraged me to return to cinema,” Celina said of her Bollywood comeback plans. “I never imagined that Seasons Greetings would win a Filmfare award and international accolades at so many international film festivals.”
Celina, who turned 41 on Thursday, stated that she wanted to act in comedies or love stories and was looking for scripts that would suit her. “The only issue is that there aren’t enough scripts that are unique and unusual, like Season’s Greetings – A Tribute To Rituparno Ghosh,” Celina said in the same interview.
Celina recalled her journey in films after winning a beauty pageant in a 2021 interview with Hindustan Times. “By 40, I have proudly achieved so much,” she said. I became a supermodel at the age of 15, went on to win Miss India and Miss Universe runners-up at the age of 19, was launched in films by the great Feroz Khan, done some fabulous films, became a UN Goodwill ambassador, fought for LGBTA equality, won international awards, married an Austrian (Peter Haag), gave birth to two sets of twins, and won a best performance award just two weeks before turning 40. It’s a fantastic legacy to look back on and an incredible motivator for what the future holds.”
Celina had tied the knot with hotelier Peter Haag and the two welcomed their first set of twins, Winston and Viraaj, in 2012. Celina again gave birth to twin boys, Shamsher and Arthur, in 2017, but the former could not survive, and died due to ‘a serious heart condition’.
