Devoleena Bhattacharjee chastised Instagram users who chastised her for wasting cake while celebrating the birthday of her dog Angel Bhattacharjee. Devoleena took to Instagram to share a video of herself holding her dog and cutting two cakes. On Saturday, Devoleena celebrated Angel’s birthday.
Devoleena attempted to feed her dog cake, but it turned away. Shanawaz Shaikh, Devoleena’s husband, was seen sitting behind her, singing “happy birthday” and clapping. After several attempts, Devoleena relented and let Angel go, who was later seen eating the cake.
Devoleena captioned her post after sharing the video, “Concerning Last Night. It was the birthday of my heartbeat. And thank you so much for the birthday cake, MAMAs and MAASIs.” She also included the hashtags insta good, insta mood, reels India, reel karo feel karo, Devoleena, Shaleena, Angel, pet birthday, and insta birthday. She also used the song Chanda Hai Tu Mera Suraj Hai Tu by Lata Mangeshkar as background music.
In response to the post, one Instagram user wrote, “Dekho janab, yaaha. (Look here.) Kai log aise hai jise ye bhi nhi pata ki cake ka taste kaise hota hai aur ye log dogs k liye cake waste karte hai. Many people have no idea what a cake tastes like, and they waste cake for dogs).”
Devoleena’s response was, “Toh aap taste karwaiye na. Aapko kisne roka hai? Rahi baat kisko kya khila rahi usspe tippani karne ki aap koi bhii nahi hai..toh jaaiye charity k photos please share kijiyega publicity k liye. (So you go ahead and make them taste it. Who has put a stop to you? You have no right to comment on what I’m feeding and to whom… So please share charity photos for publicity).”
Another person stated, “Do you know the income and lifestyle disparities among India’s 130 crore people? Most people struggle to meet both ends of the spectrum. That guy said something about it. We are not all as wealthy as you. Purchasing a cake for a birthday once a year is like being on cloud nine. Let us return to reality.”
According to Devoleena, “Accept reality and take action to improve it. Commenting unnecessary negative things on other people’s celebrations demonstrated a negative mentality rather than being emphatic about the 130 crores. If you agree, go ahead and do something about it.”
On Saturday, Devoleena and Shanawaz celebrated their one-month wedding anniversary. “Happy and Unbelievable 1 Month to Us,” they wrote on Instagram after posting several photos.
