Along with Salman Khan’s cameo, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan has a link to the Khan of the famous trio. Nikhat Khan Hegde, Aamir Khan’s older sister, plays an Afghan woman who blesses Shah Rukh when he saves their village in Pathaan.
While everyone is excited about Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan reuniting on the big screen with Pathaan, few are aware that the actor’s latest release also has a link to Aamir Khan. Nikhat Khan Hegde, Aamir’s older sister, has a special scene with Shah Rukh in Pathaan.
She thanked fans who praised her performance in the film by posting their reactions to her Instagram Stories. In one, a fan wrote, “@nikhat3628, you are so amazing (red heart emojis). My favourites in a single frame.” “Hamari Nikhat (Our Nikhat) @nikhat3628 #Pathaan,” another Instagram user wrote.
She plays an Afghan woman who blesses Shah Rukh’s character when he rescues their village during his first mission in the action film, according to the scenes shared in the Stories. Her character tells him that he will always be one of them, giving rise to his nickname and the film’s title.
Nikhat has produced films such as Tum Mere Ho (1990), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Madhosh (1994), and Lagaan (1995). (2001). She has also played Saif Ali Khan’s mother in the feature films Mission Mangal (2019), Saand Ki Aankh (2019), and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020). She also appeared in Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story, Guilty Minds, and Hush Hush.
Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. The thriller, written by Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, connects to the Salman Khan films Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), as well as the Hrithik Roshan film War (2019) in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Pathaan has already earned 57 crore on its first day, January 25, and is expected to break records over the long holiday weekend.
Shah Rukh’s most recent lead role was in Aanand L Ra’s Zero (2018), in which he co-starred with Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
