Javed Akhtar was attending an event in Pakistan when Kangana Ranaut commended him for his forthright comment about the 26/11 terror strikes.
Actress Kangana Ranaut praised poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar on Twitter after he said something at a recent event in Pakistan. Javed spoke during the ceremony and referred to the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai, saying that Indians must never forget that Pakistanis were responsible for carrying them out.
Javed Akhtar is seen speaking to a crowd in the video Kangana shared on Tuesday. He claims that as someone who witnessed the horrors of the 26/11 attacks in Bombay firsthand, it would be unfair to ask Indians to disregard the possibility that the attackers are still at large in Pakistan.
He addressed the crowd in Urdu and declared, “The assailants weren’t from Egypt or Norway. You shouldn’t take offence if an Indian complains about this because they are still there in your country. He added that while Pakistan has never hosted singer Lata Mangeshkar, India has in the past hosted a number of Pakistani singers.

Ha ha, “Ghar mein ghuss ke maara.” (Whenever I read or hear Javed Saab’s poetry, I feel as though Goddess Saraswati has bestowed her blessings upon him.
Yet, I realise that for divinity to exist within someone, there must be some truth within that person. Thank you. He forced them to hear the truth in their own country.
Many were surprised by this turn of events given the two parties’ prior rivalry. After the circumstances surrounding the alleged suicide of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, Javed filed a defamation complaint against the actor in November 2020, alleging that Kangana Ranaut had made a reference to a “coterie” that existed in Bollywood and made a hint at him.
In addition, Kangana Ranaut filed a counter-complaint in court accusing Javed of “extortion and criminal intimidation.” Javed Akhtar allegedly pushed her to write a letter of apology to her co-star and purported ex-boyfriend Hrithik Roshan. This is according to her allegation.
