Urmila Matondkar will be back on TV for the first time in almost 10 years. Matondkar will be a judge on the dance reality show DID Super Moms, in which the contestants are all Indian mothers. She was last seen in 2012, when she was a judge on the Marathi TV show Dance India Dance Maharashtra.
It looks like actor Bhagyashree will join Matondkar on the judging panel. This will be her first time on the panel. Bhagyashree was last seen on Smart Jodi, where she and her husband, Himalay Dassani, were contestants. As the media had said before, choreographer and director Remo D’Souza will also be a judge on the show.
“Matondkar signed the contract a while ago, but Bhagyashree just recently joined,” a source close to the situation says.
The report is true, and Bhagyashree says, “I’m looking forward to it. Since I’m also a super mom, I wouldn’t call it judging. It would be more like encouraging and giving them a chance to follow their dreams, tell their story, and go in the direction they choose. When you tell her it’s her first time being a judge, she says, “I feel like a student on Teacher’s Day.” She says that Matondkar is a “fantastic dancer,” and she says that she is “totally” looking forward to judging with her.
