Hrithik Roshan praises Rishab Shetty's direction and acting in Kantara, saying he "learned so much"

Hrithik Roshan has added his name to the long list of Bollywood celebrities who have been wowed by Kannada hit Kantara. Late Sunday night, the actor took to social media to express his admiration for the film, as well as to praise its director and lead actor Rishab Shetty. Many of the film’s fans praised Hrithik for his tweet.

On Sunday night, just days after the Hindi version of the film became available on OTT, Hrithik tweeted, “Learnt so much by watching #Kantara.” The strength of @shetty rishab’s conviction elevates the film. Outstanding storytelling, direction, and acting.” Kantara, directed by Rishab, stars him alongside Sapthami Gowda and Kishore in the lead role.

The film is based on coastal Karnataka beliefs and combines them with stories about land politics and man versus nature. The film has received both critical and commercial acclaim.

Hrithik had high praise for the film’s climactic fight sequence, which was praised for its tone, cinematography, and intensity. “I got goosebumps during the peak climax transformation.” “Respect and congratulations to the team,” Hrithik wrote. “You’ve always appreciated Good Works across Industry…,” one of the actor’s fans responded. I hope you’ll work with one of them someday.” “Bollywood can’t deserve you sir, come to tollywood here directors will do wonders with you,” a fan of the film from the south tweeted.

Aside from critical and commercial success, the film has received praise from actors and film personalities from Prabhas and Rajinikanth to Kangana Ranaut and Varun Dhawan. Although Rishab Shetty has not officially announced a sequel, there have been reports that one is in the works. However, actor Diganth recently stated in an interview that Rishab would be leaving their upcoming film Bachelor because he was too busy with Kantara 2.
