On January 27, Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra married. Several hours later, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Soni Razdan, and Konkona Sen Sharma, among others, attended their wedding reception. Masaba’s mother, Neena Gupta, and father, Vivian Richards, were also present. A video posted by Masaba’s friend and pastry chef Pooja Dhingra shows guests being served not one, but two equally beautiful wedding cakes, and the mother and father of the bride giving speeches. Although their words were not revealed, both Neena and Vivian appeared emotional as they spoke while standing next to the bride and groom.
Pooja captioned a video from Masaba’s wedding party she shared on Instagram Reels, “Making something for people you care about is always the most difficult. Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra, best wishes for a lifetime of happiness, laughter, food, and, of course, CAKE! I adore you two.” “Yummy cake,” said Soni Razdan, who was present at the party. “So stunning!!” wrote another commenter.
In the video, the newlyweds stood behind a table that displayed their two wedding cakes: a three-tiered white cake decorated with tiny flowers, and a chocolate cake with the word ‘congratulations’ written on it. Following that, Neena Gupta and Vivian were seen holding a microphone and giving separate speeches in honour of their daughter’s wedding. Pooja also included a behind-the-scenes look at the cake-making process in the video.
On Friday, Masaba Gupta and Satyadeep Misra surprised fans as they posted their wedding photos on Instagram in a joint post, writing, “Married my ocean of calm, this morning, Here’s to many many lifetimes of love, peace, stability and most importantly laughter. And thank you for letting me choose the caption – this is going to be fantastic!” On her wedding day, Masaba wore a pink lehenga and statement bridal jewellery, while Satyadeep wore a peach kurta pyjama set and a Nehru jacket.

Masaba and Satyadeep met on the set of Masaba Masaba’s first season on Netflix, which premiered in 2020. Masaba recently told Vogue India about her wedding and the subsequent party, “We had a simple court marriage. The plan was to keep it small and in the company of our immediate family. We wanted it to be very intimate because we felt it was the right thing to do, and we will not be celebrating in large numbers in the future.
