Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 from last month is still doing well at the box office, but newer movies like Samrat Prithviraj from last week and Janhit Mein Jaari from this week are already fighting over the leftovers.
Janhit Mein Jaari started out in theatres with Rs 0.43 crore and made Rs 0.83 crore on its second day. It has made a total of Rs 1.25 crore. Even though the jump was a good 90.70%, it is still not much. This is what Bollywood Hungama says.
Janhit Mein Jaari is a comedy-drama that was written and directed by Jai Basantu Singh. Nushrratt Bharuccha plays the main role. In the movie, Bharuccha plays a woman who starts to sell condoms in a small town in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
In her review of the movie for The Indian Express, Shubhra Gupta said, “The writing is what makes the first half of this movie so much fun. It’s light and funny, and the characters do their jobs well. We see a small Bollywood town (Chanderi, in the state of MP, is the new “It” town) in the middle of a “sasur-bahu” story. The home of Manokamna’s parents is called Condom Niwas, the father-in-law goes blue in the face when he finds out what his “kamaau bahu” (earning daughter-in-law) really does for a living, the husband is more of a responsible son than a caring husband, and barbs fly fast and furious, giving the movie a rating of two and a half stars.
