Jennifer Aniston, best known for her role as Rachel Green in the sitcom Friends, has invited internet trolling after making statements about popular people on TikTok, YouTube, and other social media sites. “People becoming famous for basically doing nothing but having these incredible careers,” Aniston said. Her remarks, however, backfired when the internet reminded her of her famous actor parents, Nancy Dow and John Aniston, both 88.
Aniston’s interview comments go viral.
Aniston teamed up with Sebastian Stan. They discussed Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s sex tape leak in the 1990s, with Sebastian having recently played the musician in the Hulu series Pam and Tommy. “I feel so lucky that we got a little taste of the industry before it became what it is today,” Aniston said of internet culture. More streaming services, you’re well-known on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. It’s almost as if the actor’s role is being diluted.”
She continued, “This phenomenon of people becoming famous for doing nothing but having incredible careers. Then there’s the reputation of women… Pam, Paris Hilton, Monica Lewinsky.”
Monica Lewinsky was an intern who had an affair with Bill Clinton during his presidency, which became public in 1998.
Aniston encourages trolling comments.
Following Aniston’s remarks, some mocked her acting pedigree. “Jennifer Aniston’s parents were both millionaire actors who worked in Hollywood. Aniston’s career is possible because of their connections. I’m not trying to minimise what she accomplished in her career, but I think some of this shift away from the industry’s elite is beneficial (sic) “a Twitter user stated
According to another Twitter user, “Social media has produced some talented individuals. We’re tired of a well-known celibrity’s daughter/son having ZERO talent (sic).”
