Jennifer Winget, who plays Monica Mehra, will play the role of Monica Mehra again.
In key roles, Tanuj Virwani and Swanand Kirkire will also be back for “Code M – Season 2,” along with Jennifer. The eight-episode series is directed by Akshay Choubey, presented by Jio Studios, created by Ektaa R. Kapoor, and produced by Jio Studios and Juggernaut Productions. Aniruddha Guha wrote the story and screenplay, Aparna Nadig wrote the dialogue, and Niharika Puri wrote more screenplay. Major Monica Mehra will go all out to solve a new case by going on a life-changing mission.
The plot of “Code M – Season 2” is about a brave woman named Monica Mehra who is asked to look into a case about a vigilante group that hunts down and kills corrupt people who are responsible for the brutal murders of several Indian Army officers. But after several failed attempts to finish the investigation, Monica finds herself in a tough spot when she realises that the key to all the mysteries is in her own past, which has been haunting her since she was a child.
Jennifer Winget said this about bringing back her character in “Code M – Season 2”: “Code M was my first OTT show in 2020, and the first season did so well that I had to come back for a second season. Because there isn’t a lot of content on different platforms, there aren’t a lot of shows where actresses play the hero. Code M is also about the Indian army, which is the cherry on top. So, I couldn’t be happier about getting to play the brave and badass Major Monica Mehra again. The next season will look at Monica’s life after she and her husband split up. Monica has to go after a killer because she is in charge of the Kargil Diwas event. As she tries to find out who did it, a number of things happen that make up the main plot.
Tanuj Virwani said this about his character in “Code M: Season 2”: “It was thrilling to be a part of the second season of Code M. I play Angad Sandhu, a retired army officer. This role is both sensitive and strong, and it has its own nuances, which is great for me as an actor. I saw how people in the army interact with each other and their families, what sacrifices they made, how brave they were, and so much more. Most of all, they had a warrior’s heart. This is one of the best things I’ve done in my career.”
Ektaa R. Kapoor talks about Season 2 of Code M. She says, “With Code M Season 2, we continue to build our relationship with Jio Studios and Voot for some exciting content, and I’m looking forward to a great start to our show.” After the first season was so good, people had very high hopes for the second. Juggernaut productions did a great job putting on the show and making it bigger, giving it a twist that kept people on the edge of their seats.
