Kangana Ranaut claims that 'dumb Instagram is all about pictures' as she awaits her Twitter return

Kangana Ranaut recently referred to Twitter as the “best social media platform” and stated that it is “intellectually, ideologically motivated.” Kangana Ranaut has now called Instagram “dumb” and stated that the social media platform is “all about pictures.”

Kangana’s Twitter account was permanently suspended in May 2021 for violating Twitter rules on multiple occasions. Kangana has been resharing posts about her return to Twitter following Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media platform. Her most recent remark about Instagram appears to imply she was comparing the platform to Twitter.

“Dumb Instagram is about pictures, whatever opinion one writes disappears next day, as if everyone is a fickle, frivolous dumbo, who doesn’t want to see what he or she wrote a day before because they anyway don’t mean what they say, so it (should) rather disappear,” Kangana wrote on Instagram Stories on Friday.

“But what about some of us, who mean everything they say and want to document their thoughts for people who care to delve into them, start a dialogue or conversation?” Kangana continued. These are mini-blogs that should be open to interpretation for the sake of the subject’s and the object’s growth.”

Kangana, whose Twitter account was suspended due to company guidelines regarding her political views, recently shared her thoughts on Twitter’s new verification process. “Twitter is the best social media platform right now, it is intellectually, ideologically motivated, (and) not about looks or lifestyle,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. I’ve never understood the concept of verification that some people get as if others don’t have an authentic existence; for example, if my father wants a blue tick, 3-4 clowns will dismiss his very identity as if he’s living an illegal life… Simply put, everyone with an Aadhar Card must be verified…”

Kangana is currently filming her upcoming film Emergency. She recently visited Assam and posted photos on Instagram. Kangana Ranaut will play the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the period drama. Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, and Shreyas Talpade also appear in the film. Aside from Emergency, Kangana’s upcoming projects include Tiku Weds Sheru with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur, and Pradeep Sarkar’s biopic of theatre artist Noti Binodini.
