During the promotion of Judgementall Hai Kya, the film directed by Ekta Kapoor and starring Kangana and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, Kangana and journalist Justin Rao got into a heated argument. The actress accused him of running a smear campaign and harming her brand. The viral video had received a lot of attention and had divided the internet.
During the promotional tour for Judgementall Hai Kya, actress Kangana Ranaut called out a journalist for writing disparaging things about her, and it didn’t go well with him. Soon after, they got into an ugly verbal brawl that stunned the other actors. “Justin tum toh hamare dushmann ban gye yaar, kitni zyada gandi gandi baatein likhte ho yaar, itna ganda sochte kaise ho,” Kangana said. “I don’t think it’s fair for you to say that,” the journalist responded. “No, is it fair for you to write stuff like that?” the actress continued. You’re criticising my film Manikarnika. Is it possible that making a film was a mistake? You’re calling me a patriot for saying that a film on nationalism .

The event became unpleasant after Kangana’s accusations, and the journalist accused her of intimidating him. “I’m not intimidating anyone; I’m just being candid,” the actress responded. Everyone in the room was taken aback by their heated exchange. The Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India later wrote a letter demanding a public apology from the actress and the film’s producers. Soon after, the producers issued an apology.
‘I don’t have a problem with Kangana Ranaut, problem usey hai,’ says Taapsee Pannu.
Taapsee Pannu has stated that if she runs into Kangana Ranaut, she will not hesitate to greet her. Kangana and Taapsee had a Twitter feud in the past after Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel called Taapsee a “B-grade” actor and a “sasti copy” of Kangana.
Kangana had called Taapsee a’sasti’ (cheap) in March 2021, and her tweet also mentioned the income tax cases against her and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. In a separate social media post, Kangana’s sister Rangoli called Taapsee a “sasti copy (cheap imitation)” of Kangana.
When asked if she had ever met Kangana, Taapsee told The Lallatop, “What do I even do?” (say). I no longer feel bad. To be honest, I’m not sure. I met her at a Pink screening when I was new to the industry, so it was more of a greeting a guest, saying ‘hello,’ and ‘thank you’.
“If she’s in front of me, I’ll go say hello. I have a lot of fira ke nahi jaungi. Problem usey hai, thodi problem hai. So marzi uski. Mujhe jhatka lagta hai, wo itni acchi actor hain…kyuki apne kisi ko pedestal pe rakha (I won’t turn away from her, I don’t have a problem with her, she does. Her wish will be granted. I was surprised at first because she is an excellent actor, and I had placed her on a pedestal). I took being called a sasti copy as a compliment because “she is such a good actress.”
Taapse previously stated that Kangana was ‘irrelevant’ to her life in an interview. “No, I’m not missing her… She’s an actor and a colleague in that regard. But, more importantly, she has no bearing on my life. “I have no feelings for her, good or bad…” she explained.
