Kareena Kapoor took to social media on Friday to answer trolls who made fun of her age. The actor posted a screenshot of a social media user writing “budhi” in the comment box of a post. Kareena said that she keeps seeing this word used as an insult, which shocks her. She also said that, unlike the “nameless, faceless, ageless” trolls, she is getting older and smarter.
“I see this all the time in comments! If and when I check, it won’t be the one that comes up first. So … The word “Buddhi” is meant to be a slur. Because, to me, it’s just a word that means “old.” Yes we are older ..n wiser … but you have no name, face, or age. “And so are your parents?!” wrote the actor from Heroine. But the actor later took it down. Amrita Arora, a friend of hers who used to be an actor, said the same thing. Kareena posted it again on social media with the caption “Wat to go Amuu.”
Amrita Arora also wrote a post about how she had gained weight. Recently, the two were seen at Karan Johar’s 50th birthday party. Amrita wrote in an Instagram story, “Also got a lot of hate for gaining weight! I have it… I love it, but my weight is my issue. When did every problem become everyone’s problem? Ohhh ya since social media gives … I give zero f’sss … so please keep going and I’ll name and shame! Ha !.” Kareena reposted Amrita’s post and added the words “My sweet AMU” and a heart emoji.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who turned 41 last year, has always talked about getting older in a graceful way. In an old interview with IANS, the actor said that she thinks getting older is great and that she hates it when she sees people “trying to cover their lines.”
“Men with wrinkles on their faces look smarter and sexier to me. I think Maharani Gayatri Devi had a lot of grace, even for a woman. The way she got older and got grey hair is elegant,” she said.
On the work front, Kareena is looking forward to the August 11 release of the movie Laal Singh Chadha. She worked with Aamir Khan in the movies “3 Idiots” and “Taalash.”
