In a shocking turn of events, television actress Mahhi Vij was involved in a horrific incident at home when her drunk cook threatened her with a ‘khanjar’ and hurled abuse at her and her family. Mahhi allegedly shared details about the heinous incident in the now-deleted tweets. The actress had also petitioned the Mumbai Police for Tara’s protection and safety. Mahhi had written in a now-deleted tweet, “I was terrified for my and my daughter’s lives. Police and Jay apprehended this cook and are now holding him on bail for murdering us. Wow marne ke baad morcha nikalna he openly saud ki chaaku maar dunga tujhe.”
Mahhi, actor Jay Bhanushali’s wife, confirmed the entire incident, revealing that the entire incident occurred after they caught him stealing and decided to fire him. “It had only been three days when we were informed that he was stealing. I had waited to notify Jay. When Jay arrived, he intended to settle the bill, but the cook insisted on being paid for the entire month. When Jay tried to justify himself, he said, ‘200 biharis laake khada kar dunga.’ He became inebriated and began hurling insults at us. We went to the police station. “I don’t care what happens to me, but I was worried about my daughter,” she explained.
She went on to say, “He kept calling me while we were at the police station. I have every recording. It’s terrifying to see what’s going on everywhere. What happens if he stabs me? People will protest if something bad happens to me. So, what’s the point? I’m concerned about the safety of my family. I heard he’ll be released on bail. What if he actually recruits men after being released from prison and targets us?”
In 2011, Mahhi Vij married actor Jay Bhanushali. In 2019, the couple welcomed their first biological child, a daughter named Tara.
