Varun Dhawan has completed filming in Poland for his upcoming film Bawaal, the Bollywood star announced on Monday. The romance drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, also stars Jahnvi Kapoor.
Dhawan, 35, announced the completion of the shoot in an Instagram post.
“Humne macha diya hain har BAWAAL! Ajju Bhaiyya-style ending to the film! “Agla Bawaal hoga theatres mein 7 April 2023 ko,” wrote the Jugjugg Jeeyo actor in the video’s caption.
Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari wrote the story for Bawaal, as well as the script, with Piyush Gupta, Nikhil Mehrotra, Shreyas Jain, and husband Nitesh Tiwari.
On Monday, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari posted on Instagram that Bawaal was a “difficult shoot” for the team.
“As we complete our beautiful story Bawaal, we want to thank all of our partners who have shown so much love and unity in making this story their own and walking the path until the end.” “It was a very difficult shoot, but when there are smiling faces, the director keeps going,” she wrote in the note.
In collaboration with Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari’s Earthsky Pictures, Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has backed the project.
“Thank you, Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala, for believing in this story we shared with you on a beautiful full moon day.” Thank you for putting your faith in Earthsky and making us your partners. The collaboration has been a joy, and we hope to have many more.
“Thank you to Varun Dhawan, Jhanvi Kapoor, and all the other actors who made Bawaal shine with your onscreen presence.” “Thank you to all of our talented partners in all departments who never gave up even in the most difficult situation (sic),” the note concluded.
Bawaal, billed as a romance drama, began principal photography in April in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and the crew later travelled to Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Poland.
The film is set to be released on April 7, 2023.
