The tables were turned on filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee with Karan in the most recent episode. While Karan is usually the one who puts everyone on the spot, this time it was his guest, actor Aamir Khan, who changed the rules. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aamir’s Laal Singh Chaddha co-star, also joined him on the show.
Throughout the episode, Aamir’s amusing comebacks left Karan speechless.
Aamir seemed to agree when Karan revealed that he was trolled for allegedly favouring Janhvi Kapoor over Sara Ali Khan in an earlier episode of the show’s new season. Karan asked Aamir if he was biassed, to which Aamir replied, “All the time.” You are extremely partial.
Karan was forced to explain himself after Aamir’s response. He explained that he was feeling sorry for Janhvi because she had lost the games on the show and was just being nice to her. This prompted Aamir to respond, saying, “So you were being nice to someone? What is he saying, yaar?” “Maa kasam, aap jab bhi show karte ho, kisi na kisi ka insult hota hi hota hai, koi na koi rota hi rota hai,” Aamir continued. “Kisi na kisi ka dil dukhta hi dukhta hai” (I swear, every time you do a show, someone is insulted, cries, or their heart breaks).
The banter between Aamir and Karan didn’t end there. Karan accused Aamir of being a “party pooper” who avoided gatherings with more than 200 people. The actor had a plausible explanation. “The music is too loud,” he complained. People’s veins are visible as they try to speak over the music.”
“Quality sex after babies: myth or reality?” Karan asked Kareena. “You wouldn’t know,” Kareena responds. “My mother is watching this show, and you all are talking bad about my sex life,” Karan joked. “Your mother doesn’t mind you talking about other people’s sex lives!” Aamir interjected. Karan was left speechless.
Karan had to tell Aamir to let him conduct his own chat show properly at one point during the show. “You have never spoken so much in your life,” he said to Aamir. You’re not letting me ask questions.”
Kareena and Aamir are currently promoting their upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha, the official Hindi remake of the Academy Award-winning film Forrest Gump.
