Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, earned 57 crore on day one in all languages. The film, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring John Abraham in a villainous role, was released on 8000 screens worldwide in HiTamil and Telugu.

Yash Raj Films, the film’s production house, revealed that the Hindi film earned a nett collection of 55 crore, with the dubbed versions earning an additional 2 crore, bringing the total to 57 crore.

Pathaan, according to film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi, has earned 53 crore in India on day one. “Pathaan is a (rare) film that has actually risen by the time the first show ended. In fact, by the second half, all evening and night shows were virtually packed to capacity across the country,” he said.

“It is a historic return, not just for Shah Rukh Khan, but for the Hind film fraternity and Yash Raj Films in general,” Akshaye added. The entire entertainment industry is ecstatic and overjoyed. Pathaan had the best opening day collection since the pandemic, with a gross total of 75 crore on the first day. A half-century on a non-holiday is unquestionably a record start.” Pathaan has surpassed the opening day collection of Hrithik Roshan’s War and is only trailing the collections of the Hindi version of KGF Chapter 2.

Pathaan has received a tremendous response from movie theatres across the country, and many videos have surfaced online showing fans celebrating inside the theatres, dancing to the song featured in the film.

Following the historic response to Pathaan, Yash Raj Films added a post-midnight show for 12.30 a.m. on Wednesday. Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, also stated that at least 300 shows were added immediately following the first show to meet public demand.
