Patty Jenkins, the director, has spoken out about the recent rumours surrounding the third Wonder Woman film. The third film has been denied by the new co-heads of the new DC Studios, Peter Safran and James Gunn, according to recent reports, and now the director is clearing the air about the reports that she was the one who let go of the project.“When there was backlash about WW3 not happening, the appealing clickbait false story that it was me who killed it or walked away started to spread,” the director said in a statement posted on Twitter. “This is simply not the case. I never got up and left. I was willing to consider anything that was asked of me. It was my understanding that there was nothing I could do to advance things at this time. DC is obviously swamped with changes, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.”
The director provided an update on the Star Wars film Rogue Squadron, which she accepted after the second Wonder Woman film, and clarified that she does not know for certain about the future of the planned third project because the development process is still ongoing.

Previously, actress Gal Gadot posted on Twitter about how she was feeling “I’m grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character, and I’m most grateful for YOU. The audience. I can’t wait to tell you about her next chapter.”
