On the occasion of late actor and boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s birth anniversary on Saturday, Rhea Chakraborty shared two photos. This year, Sushant would have turned 37. On June 14, 2020, the actor was discovered dead at his Bandra home in Mumbai. Sushant’s family accused Rhea of aiding suicide and she was imprisoned for 28 days before being released on bail. Her friends claimed she had been falsely accused in the case.
Rhea captioned two candid photos of herself with Sushant Singh Rajput on Instagram, “(infinity sign) +1.” The first photo showed the two of them candidly posing behind two cups.” The second was a joyful selfie of the two of them.
Shibani Dandekar and Krishna Shroff, Rhea’s friends, left heart emojis in the post’s comments section. Many people wished the actor a happy birthday, while others blamed Rhea for his death.
Sushant was discovered dead a few days after Rhea had moved out of their Bandra home where they had been living together. The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested her and her younger brother Showik Chakraborty after his death prompted an investigation into a drug ring in Bollywood. She was granted bail after 28 days and maintained her innocence.
Rhea was most recently seen in Rummy Jafry’s 2021 film Chehre, which was shot between 2019 and 2020. Emran Hashmi, Amitabh Bachchan, Siddhanth Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, and Annu Kapoor also appeared in the film. Rhea posted a video from a radio station on Instagram almost a year ago, writing, “I returned to work yesterday after a two-year absence. Thank you to everyone who supported me during my most difficult times. The sun always shines, no matter what. Never, ever give up.”
Rhea is currently rumoured to be dating Bunty Sajdeh, the owner of an Indian talent management agency. He is the younger brother of reality television star Seema Sajdeh. “It’s so good to see them together and happy,” a source told the Hindustan Times in December last year. Bunty has been Rhea’s shoulder and support system through everything she’s been through in the last few years. He was there for her when things got messy.”
