Rapper MC Stan, who won the Bigg Boss 16 finale on Sunday, said he initially thought host Salman Khan was joking when his name was announced as the season winner.
Stan won the trophy over Shalin Bhanot, Shiv Thakare, Archana Gauatam, and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who were among the top finalists. MC Stan received a cash prize of 31.80 lakhs, as well as the trophy and a car, for winning the winner’s trophy.
In an interview with ETimes, the rapper stated, “I couldn’t tell if Salman sir (Salman Khan) was joking or if I had actually won. Even after he announced my name, I wondered if it was true. But it hit me when he hugged me. It was an incredible feeling that I can’t put into words.”
He went on to say, “I believe that this show is all about the fans and viewers who supported me and helped me win the trophy. I would not have won without the support and votes of the people.”
Earlier, talking about his victory on the reality show, MC Stan had said in a press statement, “I have my ardent fans to thank for this incredible and unbelievable victory. When I first entered the house, I felt like an outcast because I didn’t understand how the game worked and everyone else seemed to.”
“I understood the game late, but no regrets because it would not have changed the way I would have conducted myself on the show,” he added. I had to unlearn a lot of things and fight my impulses. I’ve learned the most important life lessons here and formed lasting friendships with people from all walks of life. Mandali, as everyone called it, became my home away from home. I’m so proud to have been a part of a season that lived up to its promise of nonstop entertainment. “Hq hai.”
The singer-songwriter had some big names rooting for him to win. Rappers including Badshah, Raftaar, Divine, Ikka, Karan Aujla, Emiway Bantai, and Seedhe Maut left video messages for him on the finale episode, which aired on Sunday.
