Salman Khan revealed in an old video shared on Twitter that he once asked Juhi Chawla’s father for her hand in marriage and was turned down. When asked why, the actor explained that he assumed he didn’t fit the bill.
Salman Khan has famously avoided marriage for many years. However, a clip from a 1990s interview of his has surfaced in which he reveals that he once asked actor Juhi Chawla’s father for her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, Salman was rejected by her father, who never really explained why. In 1995, Juhi married businessman Jay Mehta.
“This salman khan (red heart emojis),” a Twitter user captioned a short clip of an older interview of Salman. Salman appears in the video wearing a printed blue polo shirt, jeans, and a hat. He claims, “Juhi is a wonderful person. Adorable young lady. I asked her father if he would allow her to marry me.” The interviewer inquires, “You questioned him? What exactly did he say?” “No,” Salman says with a frown. When asked why, Salman replied, “Don’t fit the bill, I guess.”

The actor in the video is quite soft-spoken. Fans reacted to the video clip on Twitter, wondering who the girl he was referring to was. “Heartbreak moment (broken heart emoji),” one Twitter user wrote. Another person stated, “…and he never married again after that. What a good little boy.”
Juhi and Salman worked together only once, in the 1997 comedy Deewana Mastana, alongside Anil Kapoor and Govinda. Salman made a cameo appearance in David Dhawan’s film. Juhi and Jay Mehta have two children: Jhanvi, a daughter, and Arjun, a son. The actor appeared in Rishi Kapoor’s final film role, Prime Video Sharmaji Namkeen, in 2022. She also appeared alongside Ayesha Jhulka, Karishma Tanna, Kritika Kamra, Shahana Goswami, and Soha Ali Khan in Prime Video’s web series Hush Hush.
Salman was most recently seen in a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. He also appeared in Shah Rukh’s previous film Zero (2018). Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which will be released on April 21, 2023, will be his next film. He will also reprise his role as an Indian spy in Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif later this year.
When asked what happened next, Salman Khan revealed that he was turned down by Juhi Chawla’s father and stated, “He said no.” “Don’t fit the bill, I guess,” the superstar said when asked why her father rejected the actor. Pata nahi kya chahiye. (I’m not sure what qualities they were looking for.)”
Meanwhile, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor is rumoured to be in a relationship with actress Iulia Vantur, but neither of them has publicly acknowledged it.
