Bollywood has not had a wonderful year in 2022. Heropanti 2, starring Tiger Shroff, was one of several Bollywood blockbusters that was predicted to perform poorly at the box office. Even though the movie was released on a significant holiday (Eid) and had a franchise component, it ended up being a catastrophe. Recently, Karan Johar revealed a movie with Tiger Shroff playing the protagonist. The film, titled Screw Dheela, will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, and Rashmika Mandanna would reportedly play the female protagonist. Recently, there have been rumours that the movie has been shelved for a number of reasons.
Screw Dheela has been making it to the headlines in the entertainment news, and now, the film’s team has clarified that the movie has not been shelved and has been postponed to 2023. The reason behind the delay is the date issues and it will start rolling later next year. Not just Screw Dheela, it has also been confirmed that Tiger will team up with Karan’s Dharma Productions for one more massive action film.
This is the second movie by Shashank Khaitan to be pushed back to 2023. Prior to this, his Shanaya Kapoor, Laksh, and Gurfateh Pirzada-starring directorial Bedhadak was also rescheduled. Even Bedhadak was reportedly shelved, but the producers later explained that it had been moved until the beginning of the following year.
Shashank Khaitan is waiting for Govinda Naam Mera to be out. The movie’s filming has concluded, but it was originally scheduled to enter theatres in June of this year. The film’s new release date has not yet been confirmed by the producers, however it is rumoured that a direct-to-digital release may be in the works.
Regarding Tiger Shroff, the actor has scheduled Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ganapath. The latter will hit the big screens on Christmas 2023, while the former will be released on Christmas this year.
