For the first time since the Oscars slap incident earlier this year, when the actor struck presenter Chris Rock on stage, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were seen together. According to Just Jared, Will and Jada were recently photographed together outside a well-known restaurant on Saturday in Malibu.
In a happy mood and beaming, the Oscar-winning actor was observed waving goodbye to his wife on Saturday after they had lunch at Nobu. Smith wore an all-navy blue ensemble with a baseball cap, and Jada sported a black blouse with a plaid shirt knotted around her waist. The duo was photographed together in casual clothing. Since the Oscars incident, the couple has avoided the spotlight and hasn’t been seen out together in particular.
Will apologised for his behaviour at the Academy Awards in a video he posted last month, and he also addressed whether he has spoken to Chris Rock about the situation since then. Smith added that she shared the moving video on YouTube “I’d like to apologise to you, Chris. I apologise for my behaviour, and I’m available whenever you want to discuss. To Chris’ mother, I want to express my regret. I watched Chris’ mother’s interview. One of the things about that particular moment was that I simply wasn’t aware of it and I wasn’t considering how many people were injured at the time.”
Regarding the Oscars slap incident, Chris Rock hasn’t released a remark to the public despite making jokes about it during his stand-up performances.
