If your heart is racing and you need to take deep breaths, you’ve just watched the Stranger Things 4 finale. With the last two episodes stretching over four hours, it was easy for the plot to go haywire, but creators Duffer Brothers took the challenge and made it literally the best of all worlds!

We were promised that the final two episodes of the fourth season of the supernatural horror show will be film-like. And, as promised, everything felt like it was supposed to be this way.

Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 picks up after the cliffhanger ending of the first instalment. Vecna’s true identity has been revealed: he is Henry Creel, also known as One. And Nancy is completely under his control. In the Soviet prison, Hopper and Joyce have reunited. One would expect the show to pick up speed as it progresses, but it’s already in fifth gear from the start.

The three groups are dispersed across various locations, each attempting to bring down the Upside Down. And they’re all linked by the same heart that beats for Hawkins, which is reason enough for them to save it before it succumbs to Vecna’s curse. The previous seven episodes had their highs and lows, moments of fun and frustration, but the final episode was a revelation.
