In the upcoming movie “Shabaash Mithu,” actress Taapsee Pannu will play famous cricketer Mithali Raj. On Wednesday, when Mithali Raj announced her retirement from all forms of cricket, Taapsee Pannu wrote a touching note to her. Taapsee went on Instagram and posted a black-and-white photo of herself and Raj with the caption: “-He was the youngest person to lead the Indian cricket team in an ODI. -He was the only Indian cricketer to lead the team in four world cups and reach the finals twice. -The youngest cricketer to score 200 runs in a Test match. -The Indian cricketer who scored the most runs in his first international game.”
She said, “The only Indian cricketer to score seven 50s in a row in an ODI. -It took him 23 years to get where he is now. Some people and their accomplishments don’t care what gender they are. The movie “Shabaash Mithu” is set to come out on July 15. The movie is based on the life of Mithali Dorai Raj, the famous captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. It was directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven. The story follows her from when she was an 8-year-old girl with a dream to when she was a famous cricket player.
