Celebrities from all over the world have spoken out against the mass shootings in a Texas school in the United States. Celebs like Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Chris Evans, and Swara Bhasker all said that the act was wrong. “The killings in Uvalde left people angry, sad, and broken. By Buffalo, Laguna Woods, and a lot of other people. By how we as a country have become used to heartbreak that is hard to understand and hard to bear. Steve’s words hit so hard because they are so true “Swift sent out a tweet.
Selena Gomez talked about how upset she was that people were being killed in her home state. “Today, 18 students were killed in my home state of Texas while they were just trying to go to school. A teacher was killed while doing her job, which is very important but often undervalued. If kids can’t feel safe at school, where can they?” she wrote, and then she sent out another tweet that said, “It’s so frustrating that I don’t know what else to say. People in power need to stop making empty promises and change the laws to stop these kinds of shootings from happening again.”
The Indian actress Swara Bhasker also spoke out about what happened. She told me, “What the hell is going on in the US?! This is awful and terrible! It also seems like it could have been stopped, so why don’t gun laws in the US change? Only 10 days after the Buffalo shooting, 14 children were killed in a school. I feel bad for the parents and families.”
Governor Greg Abbott said at a news conference that a gunman went into an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, and killed 14 children and a teacher.
Abbott said the attacker was an 18-year-old man who left his car and went into the school Tuesday afternoon with a handgun and possibly a rifle. “He shot and killed horribly, incomprehensibly, 14 students and a teacher,” Abbott said.
The gunman, who was named Salvador Ramos by law enforcement sources, is thought to have been killed by police, according to reporters.
