The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in Madhya Pradesh has said that the Akshay Kumar movie “Samrat Prithviraj” will not have to pay taxes. After Uttar Pradesh, MP is the second state to make the upcoming movie tax-free. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a tweet during the day that the movie will be tax-free so that as many people as possible can see it and learn about our “motherland.”
“The movie about the great warrior Samrat Prithviraj, in which Akshay Kumar plays the main role, has been made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh so that as many young people as possible can see it, learn about him, and love their country,” he wrote on Twitter in Hindi.
Earlier on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath liked the movie and said it was worth seeing after he saw it at a special screening in Lucknow. He said, “It’s a great family movie about our history, and everyone should watch it with their families.” He also said on Twitter that the movie was tax-free.
