The trailer for the second half of Gossip Girl Season 1 shows that the show’s first season is far from over, as the remaining six episodes will air later this month. Guess what, a relic from the past has made a scandalous reappearance!
Michelle Trachtenberg has returned as Georgina Sparks, and she makes her presence known. If the full-length trailer is any indication, this season will be filled with even more chaos, drama, and cat fights.
When HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot premiered without the original cast members for six weeks in early August, fans were disappointed. HBO Max then announced that the season would be split into two parts, with the remaining six episodes premiering on Thanksgiving Day.
Georgina reigned over Gossip Girl during its original run, so it’s not surprising that she’ll be facing the girl on the front now. In the trailer, Georgina appears uninvited in Kate’s living room and cuts her off with, “Did you know you have four weak points of entry and a very pliable super?”
Aside from Georgina’s return, the new trailer provides an exciting glimpse into the fallout from Julien and Obie’s kiss, which occurred in the midseason finale. “You guys deserve whatever you’ve got coming to you,” Zoya says just before Thanksgiving.
Season 2 reintroduces the original cast members, including Jordan Alexander, Thomas Doherty, Eli Brown, Tavi Gevinson, Evan Mock, Emily Alyn Lind, Zion Moreno, Savannah Lee Smith, and Grace Duah.
On December 1, HBO Max will premiere Gossip Girl.
