Tillotama Shome reacted to a tweet criticising her character in The Night Manager. Lipika Saikia Rao was her character.

Tillotama Shome recently apologised sarcastically to a Twitter user who found her character’most irritating’ in her latest film, The Night Manager. The series is a Hindi remake of the British television series of the same name, which is based on John Le Carre’s novel of the same name. While Tillotama promised to improve in the future, she also denied that her character was annoying in another tweet.

It all started when Tillotama introduced her character from The Night Manager, “Lipika Saikia Rao,” on the microblogging site. A woman who can navigate a man’s world while smiling and cracking a joke. “This is no easy task.” Someone replied, “The most annoying character in the series and one of the reasons I couldn’t continue to watch #TheNightManager.”

Soon after, the actor joked, “Aioooo am so sorry. Will do better next time.” “Heyy!! That’s fine…. “You were fantastic in Delhi Crime, so this one’s on the writers,” wrote the same user back. Many people, however, defended the actor.

“There was nothing irritating about that character,” one of them said. Instead, this character was full of wit and brought a unique charm to the series. People’s perspectives may differ.” “Otherwise, I found your character, as well as your acting, to be the primary reason for me to finish the series. “Wishing you more in The Night Manager S2 and many more,” said another.

“Thank you,” Tillotama said in response to one such compliment. It was a lot of fun for me. And I didn’t find her annoying,” she said, smiling. Tillotama plays Lipika Saikia Rao, a government employee, in the spy thriller series. She is regarded as an easygoing and intelligent individual who can come up with witty one-liners and jokes.

Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala co-star with Tillotama in the lead role in The Night Manager. Sandeep Modi created it, and it is available on Disney+ Hotstar. “The first half of The Night Manager follows Shaan and his journey to Shelly, while the sluggish second half focuses on Shaan in the lion’s den,” wrote the Hindustan Times in its review.

Unfortunately, once he’s there, the story takes its time establishing him, only to leave viewers hanging at the end. What becomes of Shaan?
