Vaishali wanted to stop acting and travel the world, says co-star Nyrraa M Banerji

Actor Nyrraa M Banerji, who co-starred in Rakshabandhan: Rasal Apne Bhai Ki Dhal with late actor Vaishali Takkar, says the two stayed in touch even after the TV show ended in April. Banerji recalls one of their last conversations in which Takkar, who died by suicide earlier this month, expressed a desire to retire from acting.

“She told me she was thinking about giving up acting to travel the world and do vlogging after her wedding, which was set for November 20.” ‘I am done with fame, work, and everything,’ Vaishali said. ‘I want to travel the world now.’ “She was vivacious,” Banerji recalls.

Takkar’s behaviour, according to the actor, was “all a defence mechanism to keep herself happy all the time.” “No matter how long you pretend, there comes a time when you can’t do it anymore,” she adds. That’s what I believe happened to Vaishali. However, once you reach that point, it is critical to maintain your inner strength.”

“We connected on the topic of spirituality,” the Divya Drishti actor says of their friendship. We used to be able to read each other’s body language and tell when something wasn’t right. So, deep down, I was aware that something was going on in her life, but I didn’t know what it was.”

When asked if Takkar ever expressed dissatisfaction with her professional life, Banerji responds, “I don’t think her work life was the problem.” In fact, she was overjoyed with the roles she was getting. Vaishali was an independent woman who was working on some exciting projects in the industry. At the very least, she never mentioned it to me.”
