Ms. Marvel, which is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be available to watch on Disney+ Hotstar starting next week. The team behind the web series has already said that they would like to work with actor Shah Rukh Khan. In a new interview, the show’s co-executive producer, Sana Amanat, and the show’s directors, Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, talked about Shah Rukh Khan’s role in the show. Sana also said that the parts of the web series where Shah Rukh is mentioned come from the comics. Bad Boys for Life was directed by Adil and Bilall, and Adil said that they want to remake Bad Boys 3 with Shah Rukh.
Ms. Marvel, which starts on the platform on June 8, is the first Marvel Studios show about a Muslim superhero. Iman Vellani, who is new to the scene, sings as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, a Muslim American teenager who grew up in Jersey City. Kamala is a big fan of video games and writes a lot of fan fiction. She has a big imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson in the MCU).
Sana said this about Shah Rukh in an interview with Times of India: “If Shah Rukh Khan wants to be in this show, we will go back to filming. We’ll go back to making things, we’re going back to making things! Call somebody! SRK comes from a comic book. There are some Shah Rukh Khan references in the comics because Kamala has ties to Bollywood and we love him. I grew up in New Jersey as a Pakistani kid who loved Bollywood actors. So adding that to Kamala’s world makes it feel bigger and more real. It’s really cool, and we’re looking forward to it a lot. Shah Rukh, we’d love to work with you if you want to.”
Adil also said this about Shah Rukh: “We would want to remake Bad Boys 3 with Shah Rukh Khan.” Sana added, “This will be the perfect pitch,” and Bilal called the actor “one of the biggest stars in the world, a legend.”
The other people who are part of Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Ms. Marvel was made by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Sana Amanat, and Stephen Wacker. She first showed up in comics in 2014.
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon have also directed episodes of the series, along with Adil and Bilall. Bisha K. Ali, who is a stand-up comic, is in charge of writing for the project. The top producers are Kevin Feige, who is in charge of Marvel Studios, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Bisha. Sana and Trevor Waterson are both co-executive producers for the show. It will be possible to read Ms. Marvel in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
