The lavish Khandala farmhouse of actor Suniel Shetty, the wedding venue of his daughter-actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul, has begun to be decorated. A huge pandal was seen near their home in a video shared by a paparazzo account on Instagram on Saturday. The pandal was dressed in yellow and white in the video. Inside the pandal, a few staff members were also seen working.
Suniel Shetty’s Khandala home is built on a hilltop, and he gave fans a tour of the property last year on the YouTube show Where the Heart Is. The farmhouse features scenic views, lovely gardens, sculptures, earthy interiors, a swimming pool, and much more.
There has been no official confirmation of the wedding as of yet. However, KL Rahul’s Mumbai home was seen being decorated last week. Several people strung lights around the cricketer’s house. A few employees were also seen looking over the arrangements. Athiya was seen leaving a salon the next day.
According to Hindustan Times sources, Athiya and Rahul will marry on January 23. Their wedding will take place over three days at Suniel’s farmhouse. On January 21, the first ceremony will begin with a ladies’ night. According to a source, “Athiya’s closest female friends, such as actor Akanksha Ranjan, will be a part of this.”
Athiya’s parents, Sunny and Maya Shetty, her brother-actor Ahan Shetty, and her friends are expected to perform at her sangeet the following day. “It’s a very close-knit family affair. The wedding will be attended by only close friends and family members. “You’re unlikely to see many industry peeps,” said an insider.
KL Rahul and Athiya have been dating for a while, and she has been spotted with the cricketer on several Team India tours. They never publicly discussed each other, however. In 2021, the cricketer made their relationship official by attending the premiere of Athiya’s brother Ahan’s debut film Tadap. At the event, the couple posed with Athiya’s family.
Athiya made her YouTube debut a few months ago when she launched her channel. She was most recently seen in Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Motichoor Chaknachoor. In 2015, Athiya made her acting debut alongside Sooraj Pancholi in Salman Khan’s Hero.
