Following Alia and Ranbir’s baby announcement, celebrities such as Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, and Karan Johar, as well as the couple’s families – mothers Neetu Kapoor and Soni Razdan, and sisters Shaheen Bhatt and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni – expressed their happiness on social media. However, days before Alia and Ranbir made headlines for their baby news, Ranbir recounted an incident that occurred prior to his marriage to Alia.
Ranbir Kapoor told Mashable about a fan who married the ‘gate’ of his Mumbai home, Vastu, in an interview. The actor stated that the security guard of the building informed him of the incident. Ranbir stated that the fan arrived with a priest and placed a ‘teeka’ on the building’s gate.
“There was a girl who I never met.” But, according to my watchman, she came with a pundit (priest) and married my gate. On the gate, there was some teeka (a religious ceremony mark made with vermilion or turmeric) and flowers. “That’s quite insane,” Ranbir said.
Ranbir also joked that she was his “first wife,” despite the fact that he had never met her in person. “I haven’t met my first wife yet, so I hope to meet you someday,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ranbir is preparing for the release of Shamshera, in which he co-stars with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. The film, which marks his return to the big screen after the 2018 film Sanju, hits theatres on July 22. Brahmastra, Ranbir, and Alia will be seen together for the first time in his next film. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy also appear in the film.
